The Dumpster

There are three extended metaphors in this chapter. Remember that a metaphor is a comparison when one thing is said to be another. It is all about representation.

Read through the following examples. Choose ONE and answer the question at the bottom of the post based on it.

One
Ms Hogeboom draws the comparison between The Revealer and Anne Frank's diary.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Diary_of_a_Young_Girl

Two
Russell looks at the similarities between what he, Elliot and Catalina have done with The Revealer and poster in the classroom.

Three
Richie draws the comparison between Russell's life and efforts with The Revealer and life in a dumpster.

Which metaphor is the most correct? Why?

WE WILL WORK ON THIS TOGETHER AS A CLASS. BY ALL MEANS READ OVER THE DESCRIPTIONS AT HOME. HOWEVER THIS IS AN ACTIVITY WE WILL ULTIMATELY COMPLETE COLLECTIVELY.
