Richie

I just wished that once I could say the right thing - but the next chance I had with somebody important my words would pop out clanky and loud and I would want to run my head into a wall. I'd wonder what happened to me? (p. 3)

Describe and reflect on a time in your own life when you didn't or couldn't say the right thing.

Write your response in 10-15 minutes on your laptops in Pages. Then spend 5-10 minutes reading through your response and editing it. Please ensure that any errors in spelling, punctuation and grammar are adjusted accordingly.

Post your completed response on your own personal blog.

The Revealers - Context

Bullying comes in many different forms. As a result unfortunately it can also lead to consequences that have long ranging effects.

Read the poem The Lesson by Roger McGough. A copy of the poem has been placed in your Drive/English folder. Alternatively you can access it using the LINK here.

Write a response to the teacher in this poem from the perspective of one of the only student 'survivors' of the lesson taught.

Your response can take any form that you wish. It should be written in first person and reflect the emotions evoked by the poet and his narrative.

Publish your response as the second post on your new personal Empowering The Individual blogger page.
