Answer the following questions in full sentences. 
  1. p. 107 - Do you think that the Darkland Revealer is an "underground newspaper?" Use the last line of the page as evidence in your response.

  4. p. 110 - Why do you think that Russell doesn't want to tell his own story?
  5. p. 111 - What do the three movies choices made by Elliot, Russell and Catalina say about each of them?
  6. p. 112 - Which of the three things listed as reasons for Catalina's name do you think is true? Why?
  7. p. 113 - What does Turner say about Catalina's choice of movie?
  8. p. 115 - Is the first story/message an example of bullying? How? Why?
  9. p. 115 - Is the second story/message an example of bullying? How? Why?
  10. p. 116 - Do you think that it is important to tell our stories? Why?

Choose ONE of the three stories later published in the Darkland Revealer (p. 100-101).

Taking the perspective of the person who wrote the entry write a journal entry (100 WORDS) about a typical day in the life of that person.

You should link what they have said happened to how this would then make you feel.

The only disclaimer is that you cannot use the word VICTIM (p. 106).

  • p. 83 - Why do you think the author has alluded to her story here?
  • p. 84 - Which do you think is more worrying - fear or danger? Why?
  • p. 85 - What is Leah's solution to the issue of isolation? Do you agree with her or with Jon. Why?
  • p. 86 - Everyone knew. Nobody said. What do you think that everyone knew? Why then weren't they saying anything about it?
  • p. 87 - Look at what Catalina says at the bottom of the page. How are Catalina and Anne Frank similar?
  • p. 88 - Why did Russell think that Catalina had done the right thing with her story?
  • p. 89 - What is indirect bullying? Is this what Catalina is doing to Russell? Why/Not?
